You silly boy, it didn’t mean the end of the world, it meant the swing from a warmer climate to a cooler one, towards a new mini ice age ;-) You and I should both be happy with that – more snow for your snowboarding and for me to play with in my Land Rovers :-)
PS. I’ll wager that ‘temple’ in the pic is still standing long after most of todays modern constructions are long gone. Great pic too actually!
LR: I’ll be frank. I moved back to Quebec from British Columbia in 2002 and have not looked forward to Winter since then. This year, it all changed, thanks to getting my 99 Disco 2. We only had one car until then, living downtown, so the Disco is my ticket to freedom as the other car is often tied to hockey schedules for the kids, gone to the airport with my flight attendant wife, etc. Since I bought it, I and the kids have now [re]connected with the wilderness (which we have quite a bit of here in Canada), bought a cabin in the woods out of town, and cannot wait to play with the Disco in the snow, or for it to bring us to miscellaneous fantastic wintry playgrounds. :)
All that winter stuff set aside, I’m still a hot weather person (spent my teenage in the Caribbean before moving to Canada), hence why we currently are in Mexico until January (that temple is about 300 feet from our house). :)
LOL, yep, while I love the snow, as a kid I grew up with relatively wealthy parents so we had a big swimming pool in the garden (rare in the UK) and I would love nothing more than a long hot summer lounging by the pool. I used to swim in the morning before going to work even in cooler weather (the pool was heated) and I’d love a pool here but sadly we don’t really have the space unless I dig up the lawn….which I wouldn’t mind as it would save me having to mow it every week but my wife would not agree!!
Cabin in the woods sounds fantastic – idyllic – my dream :-)
