The Görlitzer Park is also known as “Görli” – sounds like “girly”.
A “Gör” in german is also a girl, a cheeky little girrrl :-)
There’s a beautiful picture book from the 80s “Gören – Berliner Kinder – heute” by Jürgen Roth, probably not available anymore, but if you put “Gören Jürgen Roth” in Googles picture search you might see some of that black and white photos. Very authentic they are.
