Beastie Boys: Hot Sauce Committee Part Two
You can stream the Beastie Boys‘ complete new album, Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, from their dedicated mini-site. You can also pre-order it from iTunes.
I’m able to embed the album here because like the Foo Fighters recently did with Wasting Light, the B-Boys opted to use SoundCloud‘s brilliant API and player for their streaming needs. This means the player can be embedded via shortcode on WordPress.com, a plugin on self-hosted WordPress, auto-embeds when posted or liked on Facebook, etc.
Birdy Nam Nam: Violons
Birdy Nam Nam‘s four French turntablists doing their thang! I dare you not to bounce or head-bob in your chair.
“Gotta Break Harper Because He Won’t Bend”
This one’s for my Canadian crew.
Henry Rollins FTW!
Promising a bit of ‘performance art’ for his Toronto appearance on Thursday evening, Henry Rollins started his show by raising the house lights, walking into the crowd and handing everyone in the venue a crisp ten dollar bill. […] Apparently, an error was made on the surcharges on the Toronto show and Rollins received a few emails from his Canadian fans asking why the tickets seemed more expensive than usual. Upon realizing the surcharges were added in error, Rollins took it upon himself to make sure the promoter had a ten dollar bill ready for every ticket sold and he took the time to walk the entire venue, seat by seat, and give the overage back, to cheers from the audience.
